But rest felt like surrender. For seven years, lifting weights had been my anchor-my source of confidence, resilience, and clarity. To give it up without reason didn’t sit right. So I did something radical: I walked out. Not on motherhood, but on outdated norms.
I found a doctor who trusted my body’s strength. A trainer a father himself-who adapted workouts to my growing belly. And despite the whispers (“Should she be running?” “Is that safe?”), I ran until my eighth month, lifted until the day before delivery, and proved that pregnancy isn’t a limitation-it’s power in motion.

After my son was born, I realized something terrifying: We’ve been misled about fitness.
That mothers should “take it easy.”
That health is a luxury for those with time.
That gyms are the only way to get strong.
I knew then: if I-a educated & independent woman-had to fight so hard for basic fitness truths, what about everyone else? The working moms, the seniors, the rehab patients told to “just rest”? So in 2024, I left my corporate career at Microsoft- high package, stability, and all-to build My1Hour. Not just a business, but a movement.
